The team at Point to Point hold interview weeks throughout the major cities of Australia and New Zealand during the UK Academic year.  Our client schools remove themselves from the day to day demands of running a school and solely concentrate on their annual recruitment with us.

We hold the events in a wide range of locations and target teachers specifically to fill your vacancy requirements.  You can expect a full timetable of high calibre teachers with a range of backgrounds and experiences.

Teacher recruitment is our biggest challenge.  There is a chronic shortage of teachers in the South East of England and teachers are able to choose where they wish to work.  Understandably most teachers choose jobs in schools that face less difficulty and where children come from more affluent backgrounds.  Therefore finding good teachers who are willing to work to raise standards in areas of deprivation is particularly difficult.

Teacher Interviews

Moving across to the other side of the world can be a truly daunting experience for many teachers.  The thought of going into the unknown and being anxious about what you may face can certainly make the move stressful.

With our famously popular FIFO (Fly In, Fly Out) Interview Weeks you can slow the process down, research the school you are interviewing for, meet your potential new employers in person and give yourself the opportunity to secure a teaching contract before you depart.

We bring the client schools’ leadership teams to you and give you the opportunity to go through the interview and matching process.    Our client schools are well organised – 80% are rated ‘Good’ or above by Ofsted – and are serious about sourcing the best possible teachers they can find.   It’s a privilege they have chosen to interview NZ and Australian Teachers due to the high standards of teaching and learning over here.   As you can imagine 1000’s of Aussie and Kiwi teachers head over to the UK each year.  We have limited interview spaces and welcome applicants all year round to register their interest in the next FIFO Week.

The interviews cover eight weeks from the March 1 to the April 29.  We host in all of the major cities in Australia and NZ so there will certainly be options for you to consider.  These dates are for teachers seeking to start work in September.

From October 1 to November 30 we’re interviewing again!   These dates appeal to teachers heading over to start in January.

  • Please note, if you are travelling outside of these dates we can accommodate your application and offer skype interviews direct with Head Teachers all year round.
